Chiltepin PI Chilli Seeds – 10 Fresh Seeds
Chiltepin Pi is a unique tall-growing wild chilli collected from the mountains of Guerrero, Mexico. The grower who shared the seed simply called it “Pi”, a playful nod to pine trees – tall, upright, and reaching for the sky. Compared to typical low, bushy chiltepins, this strain grows noticeably higher with a more open structure, making the nickname rather fitting.
The plants produce larger-than-usual tepin pods packed with seeds and full of classic wild chilli character: bright, sharp heat and a clean, fruity bite that works beautifully in fresh salsas and sauces. It’s also one of the easier wild types to grow, with reliable germination and strong growth even in pots.
A charming variety with a story behind the name, Chiltepin Pi offers the height of Guerrero’s wild chilli heritage – quite literally.
