These peppers are moderately spicy with a smoky, tangy, and slightly sweet flavour. The plant itself is medium-sized with a bushy growth habit, featuring dark green leaves and small white flowers. Guajillo peppers are often dried and used in sauces, salsas, and marinades, contributing a complex flavour to various dishes. Dried they are called Mirasol chili.
